Cancer has changed my life; not because I have it, nor do my children; in fact, prior to February 13, 2019 I had not known anyone who had Cancer. On that day, God would appear into my life in a way that I wouldn’t ever know possible, transforming every level of what I thought was important, of who I thought I was, and give to me a person buried deep inside. We are all the same, built with the unique ability to be inspired, we are given the extraordinary gift of becoming a different person; same body, same name; evolving everywhere else. It’s In this book I will show you the power behind the “pull” to give others your ‘open’ self; standing out on an uncomfortable edge, that you find who you really are. It’s on that edge of risk and chance, driven by generosity and genuine care that you do God’s work, that he trust you with a task and reward you for taking it to his level. In the last eleven months I’ve met 190 Warriors of Life, each with their own diagnosis and experiences making them ‘worthy’ of this gift; a painting each of them designs to include hidden messages, symbols of their road to Warrior status. I painted 161 paintings for 144 Warriors of Childhood Cancer, Autism, Down’s Syndrome, Breast Cancer and some more rare diagnosis that I had never known before this experience; it’s in their stories, the Warrior’s Bio’ that layers of my hidden self would fall away. In this experience I hope to share the transforming effect that comes after you give yourself fully to God’s plan surrendering to the unknown, leaning in on your faith that ‘it will be okay’ and smiling in the midst of disastrous life-changing news. I’ll show you how my life was being eaten by toxic people and I willingly allowed it until the moment that God told me I was worth more, to walk away; to carry my bones, the debris of what was left after vultures took away from me the care to love another. Please enjoy this experience with me, it’s a story about mental health, both my own and of the recipients of my gifts. I am willing to bet that you may learn about a world of faith, hope, encouragement, and love, that is available to you right now; a world where this person inside you lives, who wants to shine; let’s bring that person out. Whether you know it, whether you feel it; every one of us has a purpose in life, to carry out the actions of God that he cannot be present for; we are all connected by the ground we walk on, the air we breathe, we all have gifts to give; my gift as artist of The WarPaint Project was a boomerang of life’s most important messages; we never fight alone, never grieve alone, and Warriors Never Die. My name is Aubre, I am 42 years old, a wife, a mother of 4, a full-time employee ,and an artist for a “charity” I created called The WarPaint Project. I give away a painting to Warriors of Cancer, Autism, and realy any diagnosis that requires a fight for their life. I work wih their families to design a custom-made painting 20”x20” or larger (as large as 5 feet long) that represent their Warrior’s fight and achievements against their diagnosis. The Warpaint project and @pourhousejoe celebrates Alexis, a mother of two fighting breast cancer. Her painting of the Path of a Firefly is an acrylic pour. The firefly is actually NOT the insect, its a festival that she loves. Fight, baby, fight; we will be right here with you. I met JK Rowling, author of Harry Potter, when I emailed her about Jackson. Jackson is fighting cancer, and when I learned he had a fundraiser for casting spells and also loves Harry Potter, I decided to reach the woman who created all of it. She responded with a box of gifts, books about the history of magic, an autograph, a note to Jackson, and a jacket from the Harry Potter London Grand Tour. What she may not realize, but she will, is Jackson is genuinely touched by her gift. When you remove the fear of rejection and decide to reach for the stars, sometimes the stara respond with a gift we cannot give;an experience for one special child who now knows he matters to JK Rowling, Harry Potter and the entire world magic. Jamie, 100% Native American, collects Willow Figurines and Rustic Cuff Jewelry. When her sister-in-law Tanya won our Free Painting Raffle, I had no idea the impact her nomination would have on me. From the types of feathers used in the wings, to the native tattoos on her arms; this painting was customized from head to toe for Warriors ONLY. Her Ten YEAR fight with cancer that has spread from her breasts to other parts of her body, and the sheer length of time, inspired me to do more. I reached out to the CEO of Willow Figurines to confront them on why they had no Native American line. I also contacted the owner and president of Rustic Cuff to ask they donate a piece of their luxury cuffs to our mighty Warrior; they sent me a Warrior Cuff, overnight. I painted the identical cuff onto the arm of the figurine in the painting,. This gift comes from the deepest admiration and respect; I will remember this painting, this experience, and this woman, forever. Thank you @rusticcuff for your awesome donation. Ace passed in December, leaving us with another life lost too soon to CHildhood Cancer. His passing, the 16th Warrior Giuardian Angel of Warpaint. We will always remember 'Thanks for the Chapstick' as a reminder every gift has a different part that makes their gift special. Sometimes its as simple as chapstick.
